FAQ

How often do we meet?

Learning begins with a two-hour group introductory presentation which explains the scientific foundations, methodology, application to various reproductive categories, how to make observations and how to keep a chart. The real learning happens at individualized private follow-up sessions provided by your professional FertilityCare Practitioner who will tailor the system to your specific needs. These one-hour sessions occur five times during the first three months of use and an additional three times over the remainder of a year. Subsequent annual follow-ups are recommended.

How effective is the Creighton Model System?

With each purpose of the system the follow-ups are crucial to the success with every category and will give you the knowledge needed.

  1. To Achieve Pregnancy: Couples with normal fertility will conceive 76% of the time in the first cycle and 90% by the third cycle.
  2. To Avoid Pregnancy:  The FertilityCare™ System is over 99% effective in avoiding pregnancy when properly taught by a qualified teacher and then correctly applied.
  3. WITH INFERTILITY:  From 20%-40% of couples will achieve pregnancy with the FertilityCare™ System only.  Up to 80% will conceive with additional cooperative medical assistance.  We are fortunate to have Medical consultants in Columbus to aid in this process.

What is NaPro Technology?

Apart from being an excellent method of Natural Family Planning, the Creighton Model FertilityCareTM System is an outstanding method of monitoring gynecologic and reproductive health.  Recent scientific advances have shown it to be of assistance in identifying sub-fertility states, ovarian cysts, hormone disorders, endometriosis and the possibility of miscarriage and high-risk pregnancy.  It can also be very helpful in treating these conditions, and others, such as premenstrual syndrome.  This new science is called Natural Procreative (NaPro) Technology and can be applied by trained NFP Medical Consultants and Practitioners.
